Stanway, Colchester

The urban extension of Stanway, near Colchester, was one of O&H’s flagship schemes. The land was formerly a sand and gravel quarry, and is being steadily reclaimed and transformed into a sustainable community.  Half of the homes are already occupied.  As part of the scheme, O&H have constructed a new bypass, relieving pressure on the existing district centre.  Much of the site is being restored to a country park, which results in the development of new green spaces and a lake.
